A long time ago, I tried to get in to the Balai Yasa Jembatan in Bandung - nope you must have permission from the HQ! - So feeling dejected I followed a track in an alley beside the building. After some distance I came to a locked gate, thru which I peeked inside and found some strange looking coaches inside.
So after some inquiry to the locals, a few days later I talked my way into PERUMKA's Gudang on jalan Sukabumi and took these pics.
As time goes by more informations came along and I found out these were no ordinary coaches, they were the remnant of the ESS EMU!
This is what used tobe MCDW301 (Motorrijtuig Derdeclass met Baggage
afdeling / Motor third class with baggage section)
The pantograph, electrical gears and motors were long gone, it was
being used as a coach on the local train in the 70's usually towed behind
D14's.
And VCW713 (Volgrijtuig / trailer). Usually towed behind the Motor cars. One of my friend said he think he saw these VCW sandwiched between the then new KRD plying Cicalengka - Padalarang route to increase the DMU capacity.
