Prewar Indonesian postcards and photo collection of C.J. Walker

Postcard showing a 'kleine compound' engine number 165 of Staats Spoorwegen.
It was an 0-6-0T two cylinder compound steam locomotive
for working the mountainous sections of the SS systems.
(Note this was in its original number, after 1912 classification this engine was numbered as 69)

The class never made it into the postwar DKA period.

additional comments:
This is a photograph of postcard size from the celebrated british publisher,
"F Moore's Railway Photographs of Amen Corner" London.
They were later known as the Locomotive Publishing Co
and produced the monthly
"Locomotive Carriage and Wagon Review" [1897-1959]
Date is difficult to determine, but the original negative may have
been supplied by the SS as a publicity exercise.
