a C33 for Sawahlunto railway museum?

Recently inaugurated by vice president Yusuf Kalla in December 2005,
Sawahlunto railway museum in Wesy Sumatra regency is desperately looking for
suitable steam locomotive(s) to work the proposed tourist train.

A candidate has been found plinthed in front of the Padang workshop, it's a C33 class,
a class that was native to the West Sumatra's rail system.
As it was used on the non-rack sections of the West Sumatra rail network,
it would be an ideal candidate for serving the Sawahlunto - Muarakalaban - Batutabal
and Sawahlunto - Muarakalaban - Muaro sections.

C3325 was from a batch of  10 delivered in 1892 by Esslingen Germany,
following the first batch of 5 delivered a year before.
Eventually Esslingen delivered 23 engines of this class, all exclusively to the SSS
(Staatspoorwegen Sumatra, the Dutch East India's colonial state railway administration of West Sumatra)

It's ungainly appearance prompted visiting railfans of the 70's to nickname this class of engines as
West Sumatra's 'ugly ducklings'
Ugly they may be, but they played a very significant part in moving the Ombilin coal mined
in and around Sawahlunto to the port of Emmahaven (Teluk Bayur) in the coast,
sometimes double headed on the 3% graded adhesion section between Muarakalaban - Solok - Batutabal.
they also worked on coal train on the adhesion section of Kayutanam - Padang - Emmahaven.

PT KA (the Indonesian state railway) has decided to get to work so that this loco
would be steamable for the railway's anniversary 28th September 2006!

It's a tall order, we will need all the help we can get to make this old loco steams again.
This C33 will need her boiler checked first, and as you can see a lot of things are still missing,
i.e. main rods, con rods, grease pump, injectors and check valves among other things.

Anybody knows where we can buy or have someone manufacture injectors? (email us!)
